Story of my life!
From Feeling Lost to Guiding Youths: My Journey as a Mentor
Trust me, I was just like you.
A Life That Seemed Perfect on Paper
In high school, I was considered a well-rounded student:
-
Straight A’s in every subject
-
Leading two nonprofit organizations
-
Executive in the student council
-
Captain of the girls’ varsity volleyball team
-
Taking a minimum of 3 AP courses while preparing for SAT and IELTS exams
On the surface, my life seemed perfectly set — I was aiming for Ivy League universities, just like my friends. Everyone assumed I knew exactly what I was doing… but deep down, I didn’t.
A Turning Point
A Turning Point
Midway through junior year, God spoke to me, and I realized something crucial: this path wasn’t mine. I had no passion for it, and getting into an Ivy League didn’t mean anything if it wasn’t aligned with my purpose. So I made the bold choice to step away from the conventional path.
I switched to the GED test, accelerated my education by two years, and entered university earlier than most. But even then, I initially chose the wrong university — and that mistake led me to discover my true calling.
Me Now!
Finding My Purpose
Through my journey, I discovered entrepreneurship and mentoring. Today, I run my own startup, MyChatterBox, an English-speaking platform with an educational focus. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of mentoring countless youth, guiding them through challenges I’ve personally faced.
The journey wasn’t easy. Many doubted me, and support was scarce — even from those closest to me. But I pushed forward anyway. And today, I am happier, fulfilled, and confident that I am living my purpose.

what you want
-
why you feel stuck

and how to move forward with confidence
Can I talk about personal struggles?
Yes. This is a safe, judgment-free space.
You can talk about school, family, friendships, confidence issues, burnout, fear of the future — anything you’re comfortable sharing.
Do I need to be Christian?
No. Mentoring is for everyone.
I may add values-based guidance, but it’s not religious, and there’s no requirement for belief.
Can parents book this for their child?
No. The youth themselves must book it — mentorship only works if you’re personally ready for it.
